A Flicker In Eternity DVD
This coming-of-age tale explores the challenges faced by a gifted teenager caught between his dream of becoming a writer/artist and his duty to his country. Based on the diary and letters of Stanley Hayami, the story is told through the eyes of a promising young man thrown into the turmoil of World War II as experienced by more than 120,000 American citizens and legal residents of Japanese descent. Stanley's endearing cartoons and witty observations vividly recount a young boy's life behind barbed wire and as a soldier in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. His life-and-death account is a poignant reminder of the indignity of incarceration and the tragedy of war.
